Pianist
Growing up, I was fascinated by how music drew people together - whether it was practicing for my intergenerational extended family, performing in studio recitals, or accompanying my school musical. It was this idea of creating community through a shared language that inspired me to pursue music.

Educator
My aim as a teacher is to cultivate artist citizens. Through the study of music, my students achieve their goals and in the process, they develop empathy and find confidence and joy. I have taught students ages 3 to 63 in New York City for over twenty years. In my studio, we explore everything from Gershwin and Oscar Peterson to Debussy, Schumann and C.P.E. Bach. My approach develops and celebrates each student’s strengths. This allows them to express who they are, expand their musical worlds, and surpass their expectations.

Arts Administrator
I believe music builds communities. I served as the Regional Leader for the Royal Conservatory of Music, the Director of the Geneva Conservatory of Music, and President of the Piano Teachers’ Congress New York. In all of these roles, my focus was to facilitate relationships and partnerships, to enable more access to music.
